Minamisoma Fire Fighting and Disaster Prevention Center
The Minamisoma Fire Fighting and Disaster Prevention Center, in addition to functioning as the So-So region firefighting headquarters and the Minamisoma fire department, contains an exhibition of information related to disaster prevention, including records of damage to Minamisoma and disaster countermeasures taken, displayed in order to preserve the lessons learned during the Great East Japan Earthquake for future generations.
City employees are available to provide information about the exhibition. If you wish for a guided tour, please make a reservation in advance.
(Note) As a countermeasure against the spread of COVID-19, we can only accept groups of 10 people or less at this time. Furthermore, please be sure to wear a mask when visiting the premises.
We ask for your cooperation in preventing the spread of infection.
