Request Service

If there is a book you want to read or some materials you are searching for that are not in the library, you can use the request service to find them.

There are 4 ways to request materials, as listed below.

Materials with requests by several people will be rented out in the order of when they were requested, so it may take some time before your request is fulfilled.

Furthermore, please be aware that if someone goes to the library and rents out the materials, they will have priority even if there were no other requests for the materials.

Please submit a completed request card to the Consultation and Registration Desk at Central Library, or to the counter at any of the other libraries.

(Note) If you print out the request card yourself, please print it on both sides of an A5 size piece of paper.

Requests are limited to items that have already been checked out by someone else.

The library is making an effort to respond to requests for materials it does not currently have, either by buying them or by borrowing them from a different library.

If you have such a book or item you would like to request, please submit a completed request card to the Consultation and Registration Desk at Central Library, or to the counter at any of the other libraries.

After an item you have requested has been prepared, you will be contacted either by phone or email. You will have 7 days to pick up the item. Requests for items that are not picked up within that time frame will be canceled.
