Health Promotion Training Center Sukitto Chikura

On April 18^th, 2021, the Health Promotion Training Center Sukitto Chikura was opened in Kashima.

Sukitto Chikura is an easily accessible facility created with the health of the citizens in mind. We have developed an environment where you can try out various exercise programs designed for health promotion and physical fitness improvement depending on your needs. We hope to help promote health and physical fitness while contributing to the exchange of local residents and fostering a sense of unity through the maintenance and longevity of health minds and bodies.

• We have qualified personnel that can give advice so even beginners can use the facility with confidence.
• We have a shower room on the premise.
• We have a total of 21 different kinds of exercise equipment for both aerobic and anaerobic training.

• Aerobic training equipment (treadmills, etc.) – 11 total
• Anaerobic training equipment (weights, machines, etc.) – 10 total

Please cooperate with COVID-19 countermeasures while using the facility.

Junior high school students and older

The usage hours have been split into three time slots.

1. 9:00am to 12:30pm
2. 1:30pm to 5:00pm
3. 5:30pm to 9:00pm

• Mondays (if the Monday is already a holiday, the facility will be closed the following weekday)
• New Year’s holiday (December 29^th to January 3^rd)

1. Usage fees for residents of Minamisoma and those commuting to Minamisoma for work or school.

2. Those other than listed above in 1.

Businesses sponsored or co-sponsored by local governments receive a fee reduction or exemption.

In addition, those who have a physical disability certificate, rehabilitation certificate, or mental illness certificate may be able enter for free (exempt).

• If you do not present the disability certificate when using the facility, you will not be exempted.
• Use for commercial purposes or chartered use where less than half of attendees are exempted persons with disabilities will not be free.
• Usage will be free for those (and one helper per person) that have a physical disability certificate or rehabilitation certificate of level 1, as well as those that have a mental illness certificate level 1.
