Minamisoma Robot Promotion Vision (Addendum)

The city formulated the Minamisoma Robot Promotion Vision in May 2017 and undertook a variety of endeavors while touting seven main pillars of the version of Minamisoma it is aiming for, beginning with “producing robot personnel in great numbers.”

It is absolutely essential to bring together residents, local businesses, and concerned parties within the city with the Fukushima Robot Test Field and robot-related efforts in order to accelerate the actualization of the “new industry creation and personnel introduction centered around the Fukushima Robot Test Field” in the restoration priority strategy put forward in the late stage general plan (decided January 2019) of the Minamisoma City Restoration Master Plan.

For this purpose, the city aims to display the vision of fully integrating robot-related endeavors into civic life and the area and accelerate various robot-related undertakings in pursuit of the image of Minamisoma’s future as promoted in the “Minamisoma Robot Promotion Vision.”

Going forward, Minamisoma’s residents, local companies, educational institutions, and every section of the city will support the companies, etc., making robot-related initiatives at the Robot Test Field in their various endeavors.
