About Matchmaking Supporters

In order to support men and women who wish to get married, the city is promoting a marriage support project by Minamisoma matchmaking supporters.

If you want to get married but don't have a chance to meet anyone, or if you are having trouble reaching the point of getting married, please consult with a matchmaking supporter.

Matchmaking supporters are volunteers who live or work in the city and have applied to support marriages. Currently, 11 people are registered, and they are mainly engaged in the following activities.

At city-sponsored individual counseling sessions regarding marriage, matchmaking supporters will act as counselors and respond to consultations regarding marriage concerns of counseling participants.

At city-sponsored matchmaking events, matchmaking supporters also act as event management staff to support the event participants.

If there is a participant at a marriage consultation or matchmaking event to whom you would like to be introduced, matchmaking supporters can assist you after confirming the intentions of both parties.
