Paying City Taxes by Credit Card

Minamisoma city taxes can be paid by credit card starting April 2018 via the internet.

You can easily pay from home if you are able to connect to the internet, such as through a computer or smartphone.

• Payment slip (part with the payment number (Noufu Bango/納付番号) and confirmation number (Kakunin Bango/確認番号) visible)
• Acceptable credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, JCB, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINER'S CLUB)

Payment by credit card will incur a settlement fee as shown in the table below.

Please access "Yahoo! Public Money Payment" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure.

• Minamisoma will not issue receipts or payment notices, so please check the tax payment notice and the usage statement issued by the credit card company.
• If you are in a hurry to be issued a tax payment certificate for vehicle inspection, etc., please pay by cash.
• Credit card payments cannot be made for payment slips that have passed one month from the due date, or for payment slips that do not have a payment number (Noufu Bangou/納付書番号) displayed. (As a reminder, if the payment number etc. is displayed, it can be used for up to 6 months from the issue date.)
• A separate procedure is required for each period (one payment slip). Even if you complete the procedure once, it will not be automatically deducted for the subsequent periods (payment slips).
• As this service is limited to the internet, payment by credit card is not possible at city/ward offices, financial institution counters, and convenience stores.
• The settlement fee incurred at the time of payment is non-refundable, even if the payment is duplicated or the amount is reduced.
• Users are responsible for the cost of connecting to the internet on their personal computers and packet communication charges for smartphones.
