Information on Missing Dogs and Cats

Fukushima Prefecture impounds stray dogs in accordance with regulations concerning the prevention of dog-related injury.

If your dog gets lost, there is a chance it was impounded.

Even if there is no information about your pet posted there, there is a chance that someone has already found them, so please contact the Fukushima Prefecture Animal Protection Center, So-So Branch.

Dogs the fulfill any of the following conditions are impounded if found:

1. Dogs that have not been registered
2. Dogs that do not have their license
3. Dogs that have not received a rabies vaccination
4. Dogs that do not have their vaccination slip
5. Dogs that do not have a leash of some sort (e.g. rope, chain)
