Disability Welfare Services
There are many kinds of welfare services available to use with the goal of supporting and encouraging the independence of persons with disabilities.
The types of support, training, medical care, payments, etc., that can be received will be determined by the Disability Level Classification Examination Committee. Then you can select the services you wish to use. After making a contract with the appointed business, you can begin to use the services.
When using the services, the applicant, or user, will bear part of the cost (10%).
(Although the maximum taxable amount is set depending on the taxation status of the household, the user's burden for tax-exempt households is free.)
Who Can Apply
- Those who have a Physical Disability Certificate.
- Those with a Rehabilitation Certificate, or those who have been judged to have an intellectual disability.
- Children with disabilities
- Those with a Mental Illness Certificate, or those who have been judged to be mentally handicapped.
(NOTE) However, the following persons are covered by long-term care insurance, and depending on care insurance services have priority. - Those over 65 years of age.
- Those between 40 to 65 years of age who can use nursing care services due to a disability.
