Nomaoi Road Meijokan (Former Brewery)

An area where you can encounter traces of the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods… A space for relaxation and connectedness.

The Nomaoi Road Meijokan is a historical structure that conveys the transitions between eras and livelihoods, repurposed from the Matsumoto Brewery.

Several kinds of facilities are spread out in an open space, through which one can cut across from Nomaoi Road to the civic culture center Yume Hatto.

This area can be used as a space for events.

Registered as a “machi no eki” (town station). Please feel free to use our facilities.

Reference Notes

  1. “Entrance fee” refers to any money paid by the visitor to the host, including but not limited to fees for entering, membership fees, etc. If there are different levels of entrance fees, the highest amount will be used when referring to the chart above.
  2. If you want to use a facility for more than a single time slot, the usage fee will increase to the sum total of both time slots. For example:
    9am-5pm: sum total of morning and afternoon usage fees
    1pm-9pm: sum total of afternoon and evening fees
  3. Use time includes time used for preparations and clean-up.
  4. Usage fees for the arbors (open-air spaces) will be charged per section (3.6m x 5.4m).
  5. In the case of going over the use time, the fee will be 120% of the cost per hour of use.
    In this situation, the cost will be rounded up to the nearest hour even if the full hour is not used.
  6. If used for commercial advertising or business purposes, the cost will be raised to 200% of the standard cost.
  7. The cost of using a storehouse or Japan-style room for preparation or practice will be 50% of the standard cost. However, if you use the previous day for preparation, it will be 50% of the cost for the morning, afternoon, and afternoon time slots.
  8. The use fee calculated based on these charts will be rounded up to the nearest 100 yen.

Usage Fee Reduction/Exemption

Exemption

  • When used for an enterprise sponsored or jointly sponsored by a national, regional, or other public organization, or for a public project run by a public organization
  • When a business or organization with a site within Minamisoma or an individual living within Minamisoma uses the facility for an event or enterprise deemed by the mayor to contribute to the purpose of the public facility
  • When used by an individual or a group of which at least have the members are eligible for exemption/reduction
    ○Those who fulfill either of the following conditions are eligible for exemption/reduction
    (1) Those who possess a physical disability certificate, medical rehabilitation handbook, or mental disability certificate
    (2) Those caring for a person with a level 1 physical disability certificate, medical rehabilitation handbook, or mental disability certificate (up to one caretaker per certificate-holding person)

To Those Who Possess Disability Certificates

  • If you are unable to produce your disability certificate, etc., at the time of use, you will not be able receive the exemption.
  • Use for business purposes will not be exempted.

Reference Notes

The unit of “1 time” refers to the use of the facility to which the equipment belongs per day.

Note: Fee exemptions/reductions may be available when using a facility for an endeavor backed or authorized by the city or manager, when used by someone in possession of a disability certificate, or in other circumstances, so please inquire at the Meijokan.

When traveling by car

Fukushima - Prefectural Road Haramachi/Kawamata Line - Minamisoma: 1hr 30min
