2. Eligible Children
Children admitted in 2022 will be judged based on their age as of April 1st, 2022.
- Children (5 years old) born between April 2, 2014, and April 1, 2017.
- Children (4 years old) born between April 2, 2015, and April 1, 2018.
- Children (3 years old) born between April 2, 2016, and April 1, 2019.
3. Facility Information
1. Drop-Off Hours
8am to 9am
(NOTE) It is possible to accept children as early as 7:30am based on the work schedules of the parent/guardian.
2. Pick-Up Time
1:30pm
(NOTE) If there are any changes, we will inform you via school newsletters, etc.

Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays
4. Extended School Holidays
Summer Break: July 21st to August 24th
Winter Break: December 24th to January 7th
Spring Break: March 20th to April 6th

1. Period of Application Acceptance
We accept applications at any time.
Please contact your desired kindergarten for availability.
2. Reception Hours
9am to 4pm
3. Reception Location
At each kindergarten.
(NOTE) If you cannot submit your application within the school hours, please consult with us by phone, etc.
4. Required Documents
Besides the documents listed below, please bring your personal seal/hanko, too.

6. Other Documents (If any of the following are applicable, please also submit the additional documents at the time of application.)

5. Approval of Admission
A few days after applying to the desired kindergarten, we will contact you through mail or by telephone to let you know if your child has been approved or not to enter kindergarten.
6. Kindergarten Class Fees
We divide the fees based on the total amount of income tax levied by the parents. However, the cost of the user will be 0 yen due to free early childhood education and childcare from October 2019 onward.
7. Lunch
There will be lunch provided by the school (but there will be some days where you must bring lunch from home (bento)).
At the Odaka Certified Children’s Center, lunch is provided using produce from the center’s garden.
8. Temporary Custody/Childcare
We will look after children who need childcare even after normal hours due to their parent’s employment. In order to use this service, an application is required in advance. (An application form is available for each kindergarten).
1. Temporary Custody/Childcare Hours
Weekdays – From the normal drop-off times to 6pm.
Saturdays and extended school holidays – 8am to 6pm.
2. Childcare Fees
300 yen per day. (If you use this service for ten or more days in a single month, it will be 3,000 yen total.)
If it is determined that the temporary custody/childcare is absolutely necessary, the usage fee will be 0 yen.

Free Early Childhood Education and Childcare
Private Kindergartens
Operating private kindergartens within the city are as follows.
