Emergency Procedures During a Ballistic Missile Launch
Ballistic missiles can arrive very quickly after launch.
In Minamisoma, when a ballistic missile is launched and the government sends J-Alert information, a special siren will sound and information will be sent through the disaster prevention administrative broadcasting system.
In addition, emergency bulletin (area) emails will be sent to smartphones and mobile phones that have reception and information will be automatically delivered through the city disaster prevention emails and the city website.

Information Regarding Protection of Civilians such as information about ballistic missiles is currently transmitted to the public via J-Alert, the city’s disaster prevention administrative radio system, and the Fire and Disaster Management Agency has also sent information to major mobile phone companies (NTT DoCoMo, KDDI, SoftBank).
(NOTE) Most mobile phones and smartphones can receive Area Mail and Emergency Rapid Mail, but some cannot. The Fire and Disaster Management Agency has compiled a manual to check whether your mobile phone/smartphone can receive Area Mail, etc.
