The city provides disaster prevention information through the disaster prevention management broadcast and other methods.

However, there is a chance that information may not be heard depending on the location and the weather. With the disaster prevention email system, you can check the contents of the broadcasts even if you cannot hear, or it is difficult to hear, the disaster prevention management broadcasts.

Please use the disaster prevention email system as a means to obtain information in case of an emergency.

From March 25th, 2019, the e-mail address of the sender has changed due to repairs of the disaster prevention email system.

You can continue to use the service, but if you have set your email settings so that you do not receive unsolicited emails, the disaster prevention email may not be delivered.

If you are not receiving the emails, please check the email settings referred to on page 6 of the “Address Registration Guides” below.

Delivery Information

In the disaster prevention email system, the following contents can be set individually to your preferences.

(1) Emergency Disaster Prevention Information	Evacuation instructions, evacuation preparation information, accident and fire information.
(2) Notifications	Notifications from the city.
(3) Earthquake Information	Seismic intensity information in Minamisoma at the time of an earthquake occurance.
(4) Tsunami Information	Tsunami warnings, alerts, as well as large tsunami warning information.
(5) Warnings/Alerts	Information on warnings, alerts, and special warnings announced in Minamisoma.
(6) Typhoon Information	Information about the strength and course of a typhoon approaching Japan.
(7) Volcano Information	Information about live volcanoes within Fukushima prefecture.
(8) Landslide Information	We will inform you when landslide disaster warning information is announced in Minamisoma.
(9) Rain Information	We will inform you when the observed values from the rain gauges installed at 9 locations in the city have reached 20mm and 40mm since the beginning of precipitation.
(10) Emergency Management Broadcast / National Protection Information	We will inform you of the same contents as the disaster prevention management broadcast in Minamisoma through the disaster prevention email system.
(11) Environmental Radiation Monitoring Results	We will inform you of environmental radiation monitoring information in the city by email every day at 1pm.

Service Fees

Registration/cancellation is available free of charge. However, phone fees related to receiving alerts are the user’s burden.
